A Birthday In Santorini
Santorini is a place that feeds my love for architecture and nature. It is not even a place I thought I’d be going to in 2023 but I’m so glad and happy for the opportunity of choice. The opportunity to choose what I want to do when I want to do it. The freedom, I guess we can call it that, to do me. Among all of the things I thought about on this trip, I think the concept of adulting is one thing that stood out most.
Adulting can be hard yea, but it can also be so good. Getting to choose the things you want from life, getting to make decisions.
Making all the choices and choosing where you want to go, what you want to do, and who you want to be in this world. As a child, nothing is that freeing sometimes. Proceeding with life as you wish and getting to make your own choices doesn’t often come in childhood.
Anyways that was my little moment of reflection and gratitude for this birthday trip. Santorini was what I needed after celebrating my first year of motherhood which was truly the hardest year of my life. God is good.
